IgboWaC: Igbo web corpus

The Igbo Web Corpus (IgboWaC) is a language corpus made up of texts collected from the Internet. The corpus was prepared according to the standards defined in Corpus factory method (describing downloading, cleaning and tokenizing text corpora). Texts for this corpus were crawled during June 2015 and they have not had part-of-speech annotation yet.

Tools to work with the Igbo web corpus

  • word lists – lists of Igbo nouns, verbs, adjectives etc. organized by frequency
  • n-grams – frequency list of multi-word units
  • concordance – examples in context
